Gamemodes_server breaking server?

I added this mapgroup to my gamemodes_server.txt file, yet I only get a broken server, did I mess it up somehow? Also, how can I set it so that the server automatically goes to iceworld, not dust2? Right now if I try to set the default map to iceworld or spy_vs_spy the server just doesn't go up.

I really do recommend skipping mapgroups altogether and using the workshop. Would need to see your full gamemodes_server.txt and your startup command line however...

Setting those fields on gameservers's web page will configure the command line for you. It should work with what you've put it (though you might want to remove the default_map and mapgroup settings since you don't use those with the workshop - you use the workshop instead of them)

I have a personal experience working with that particular web page though, and experienced it constantly changing what I put into the fields every time I saved. Hopefully they fixed that by now.

Okay, when I try to remove de_dust as the default map, it just puts it back.

And I should put the launch options in the cfg file?

your gamemodes_server is way out of control, like you copied everything from somewhere! The workshop setup you have looks much better if you could clear out those other fields like splewis said.. if you can't clear those out you should contact your provider!

Ok, I did a hard reset, so I'm back to the original gamemodes_server.txt, with that workshop setup. I'll contact my provider now.

But still, where does the servers startup commands go? I put mine in the main cfg file, was that the right place?

Alright, I did what it asked, however the startup command isn't read in the autoexec.cfg file, it still starts up de_dust, not the workshop_start_map I set it to.
