Its only allowing those with 'those' flags, which includes the Z flag. If you want donators to have access simply remove the Z flag. The z flag already incorps the other flags. At the moment its checking for z flag, which they wont have.

I still have issues with the hats not letting players open or close the saferoom door.

These hats work fine.

I've never really noticed that issue at all, but i'm dying to be able to save the hats when the next round loads, or scale them.

Ok so i figured out you can still open and close doors with any hat. Its just that some of them make it more difficult. Like mr moustachio for example.

Yeah all attached items can get in the way of your eyes. The extinguisher is the same.

I've added translations, scale and saving selected hat for next round and will release the update some time.

Large update. From my testing it seems to be working well. Also thanks to bubbabyte for help finding some bugs while testing.

1.5 (10-May-2012)
- Added translations, required for the commands and menu title.
- Added optional translations for the hat names as requested by disawar1.
- Added cvar "l4d_hats_allow" to turn on/off the plugin.
- Added cvar "l4d_hats_modes" to control which game modes the plugin works in.
- Added cvar "l4d_hats_modes_off" same as above.
- Added cvar "l4d_hats_modes_tog" same as above, but only works for L4D2.
- Added cvar "l4d_hats_save" to save a players hat for next time they spawn or connect.
- Added command "sm_hatsize" to change the scale/size of hats as suggested by worminater.
- Fixed "l4d_hats_menu" flags not setting correctly.
- Optimized the plugin by hooking cvar changes.
- Selecting a hat from the menu no longer returns to the first page.

Loving the size addition. Thankyou for adding!

One question on it though, do you think it would be possible to have the scaling specific to each hat, like there is with the current setup of positions?

At the moment when changing the size of some of the models, it is causing others to stretch in odd places, for instance, tank costume, its legs extend into the air but the rest of the body remains the same.

If we could amend the scale for a specific hat, that would be the icing on the cake. For now though, i'll remove tank :p

Updated:

1.6 (15-May-2012)
- Fixed the allow cvars not affecting all commands.

Edit, silly bugs I missed, thanks to disawar1 for finding them:

1.6.1 (15-May-2012)
- Fixed a bug when printing to chat after changing someones hat.
- Fixed cvar "l4d_hats_menu" not allowing access if it was empty.

Yeah the command affects all players. Use the sm_hatload command to set all players to your hat and then set the size. It affects all so you can see how it looks but maybe I should just make it affect yourself.

Within the data folder hats.cfg you can set a "size" key with the value you want the hat. "1.0" is the default hat size, "2.0" would be twice as big, "0.5" half the size. I forgot to mention this in the first post.

Edit: Updated with info on how to set the size. You do not need to manually edit the hats config, just set the size and use the sm_hatsave command. That will set the size on the hat you are wearing. If there are problems I'll look into it since I tested it a while back.

Omg nice! But it sure is hard to follow all your plugins with your frequent update. I update then it shows a new version here xD
