My answer doesn't change. If you don't want these sounds, remove them, block them, replace them by null sound, or whatever.

Tried and I've downloaded 2047 weird WAV file. Weird because their size is around 10~50 bytes and does not seem to be sounds file. Do you know what is that ?

I see no metamod/amxmodx, I guess it's hidden.

Because the only to make download something without that, is to use entity in map or using .res file. But using both method will use pfnPrecache* engine function and it will limit to 512 for each types ( models/sprites, sounds and generic). And also CZ hostages are enabled, and you can't do that without Orpheu/Rage.

Anyway, not sure how I've download so much small files. I can guess and I have some idea though, but no time to check right now. And btw, such method would interesting only for sounds which are played directly on the client. Any emitted sound must be precached.

Yes. For sounds reload,from models, client_cmd(id, "spk ...") and .txt files - messages weaponlist )

He did it for demonstration.

He says, adding resources to "precache list"

These resources are downloaded only from the HTTP server

They don't increase a limit 512.

He doesn't speak which function, but my friend assumes that it is SV_AddToResourceList (v2, host_client + 19476);

No, not that. Looking at the engine, I know what he's talking about. I remembered testing things about the 512 items limit, and seen how is handled the resource list, though I did not have the idea to try to add new items directly in this list.

Don't know, since it could be useful, quite interesting to do and because I know the trick, I guess I can make a try. Right now, I do nothing, just looking if there is an easy and obvious way or I will need to do some patch memory.

The deleted post was a server IP. The 2047 sounds I've downloaded are just dummy file with .wav extension. That's all.
