Yeah, try enabling quickplay. Only downside of quickplay is if you wanted to run Instant Respawn, etc. Quickplay also only becomes enabled when there are at least 8 players I've heard.

thx ive done it bot nothing chaned yesterday ther were 12 people on the server ive known but than nobody connected

It's only a week old... what did you expect??

Quickplay will only push people to it if its run normal - as mentioned Fast respawn and higher player counts will effect it some but will not exclude it completely but you just have to give it time to get popular.

Definitely enable quickplay. Its Friday and the volume of players is higher so get as many friends as you can to play around 5 or 6PM. If you can get around 10-12 to play for at least a half hour you should see quickplay start to kick in. If you are lucky enough to keep it filled it will help your ranking.

Read the quickplay rules... You get a "penalty" for having servers larger than 24 players but it does not disable quickplay. You will however disqualify yourself if you have mp_respawnwavetime set less than 10 which is the default. Same with friendly fire.

If you have any special files like custom maps or quakesounds make sure you have a fastdownload server setup or players will get bored waiting for downloads and leave.

Finally make sure you have a solid playing environment. Things to look for is you do not want afk players sitting in spawn for a very long time. It will annoy other players and they will leave. You also need to keep teams balanced. You can do this either with cvars or plugins like gscramble.

Thats the basics. The rest comes with trial and error.

Kater, You earn quickplay ranking over time. You also get penalized if people leave quickly. It does not do you a ton of good if 12 people don't stay at least 30 minutes.

You will see when quickplay kicks in. It will send 1 or 2 people at first then a few minutes later it may send 2 or 3 more.

Be patient and most important thing is to keep it stable and running.
