Indeed most of the research was yours. The material swapper (reskinning without an entire model replacement) was mine with a ton of help from PimpinJuice, but Mecha refuses to put credit in there for any of us -.- . Something about his "portfolio".

Is it at all possible to use 2 models at once? I'm trying to use both a "Borderlands Psycho" Scout model, and a "Borderlands Psycho Mask" hat model at the same time, but I don't know if that's possible.

This can't be used for hats because Valve.

You could edit the player model to have the hat model as part of it, that would be your best bet.

Would $include_model do it?

Or is there an even better way using hex editing? I've been able to make a custom model that uses the base spy model (therefore preserving any skins the user has) but uses the heavy animations. Finding out how to hex edit that was fun.

Sorry for leaving you out Sazpaimon. Actually your research is the most valuable since it was indeed the basis for the application made by Mecha, i also used the guide you made a million times

I have a few models that could use a hat as well. For instance the Undead Demoman model that Flamin Sarge linked to on the EM thread. But if your only doing it for the hat i would leave it since it makes your players download a full player.mdl file for just a hat. Also once Valve updates the player mdl files again you have to hex them all over again.
