Hi, I would like to know what this error message means when someone enters a server and it crashes and gives this error message on amx mod x:


04 og L 01/06/2005 - 158:16: FATAL ERROR (shutting down): User Msg 'AmmoX': 4 bytes written, expected 2

that's a plugin error somewhere in a custom plugin. IF yuo installed a new plugin, disable it and/or figure out which one is causeing it, and then post it in the plugin's thread.

Yeah its a plugin that sends 4 bytes for the message "AmmoX" wich is a message called right of the engine by a plugin...
But the msg only needs 2 bytes and that plugin sends 4 bytes...
Try checking what plugin is the problem and post it here if you cant fix it...

I've also had this exact same error. The name of the plugin causing it is Cluster Grenades.

I've posted a requestin the plugins forum, but nobody has answered yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was simply responding to a post 2 above mine by Ramirez. He states:

I've also bumped in the plugins thread as well. I disabled all plugins except this one and am still getting the ammox error. I thought maybe there was a conflict in another plugin but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

The problem is the coder is sending a message in the wrong format, until he or some one else knowlegdable fixes it the plugin is broken.
