My server gets svc_bad errors and kicks ppl out of the server for no reason time to time.

What can I do to fix it or at least reduce it....

I was having the same problem maybe a year ago and googled the shit out of it. I was floored, <---hehe floored ) I'd seen posts dated back in 2004 on "svc_bad" error?

I went to several of the popular "Gaming" forums and as I recall, every forum had a topic "svc_bad" error? There were as many possible solutions ( emphasis on possible ) as there were for the cause of it? However, they all had one common denominator, what work for one person might not work for another, how true that statement became? Over a period of about 2 months, I attempted several different approaches to no avail? One author posted that his would happen close to the begining of the map or when another player would join and everyone would get kicked except 1 or 2 players, that sounded very simalr to mine? His solution, do away with the MOTD and or have very little text in it, mine was quite lengthly? He went on to explain his technical reasoning of why this could be the cause of the error. I removed all the text and left only the "Martyrdome" logo. I have not had "svc_bad" error ever since and thats been about 8 months now? I'd give that a try niFe and post back the outcome.......cya R@tch3t.

wow... alright thanks for the comments both of you and epeciall you ratchet and arkshine.. yeah im using huge plugin... soccerjam.... I dont got that big of MOTD myself but I'll try that.. I currently diabled some of the plugins... I think it does have affect too...

Do you have very short round times, Bot's on the server or the MetaMod plugin StatsMe?

Then you have to try sv_timeout 22.

Yeah I found that out like 2 days ago.. Trying it out but didnt work quiet work out.. I disabled some of the plugins and I think its good... not sure Thanks!
