Hello

im kinda new to SM so there goes my noobish question:

how do i make rtv bring up text menu right ingame instead of making people pressing ESC and choosing map there.

like here:

instead of this

thank you

Code:
] sm version
 SourceMod Version Information:
    SourceMod Version: 1.0.3
    JIT Version: JIT (x86), 1.0.3
    JIT Settings: Generic i686

Solution: add your game to sourcemod/gamedata/core.games.txt for radio menus

err, did you move rocthevote.smx from the disabled plugins folder to just the plugins folder and restart?

Is SM fully compatible with synergy? May not be.

Same problem with Zombie Panic: Source. Menus always are button menus, and you have to press escape to access them. It's annoying and makes voting pointless because people don't know to press escape to see the vote menu when votes come up.

So you end up getting only 1 person voting for a new map and it changing to whatever that 1 person wanted.

I don't think it's sourcemod's fault, it's just how menus in these third party games like Synergy and Zombie Panic:Source work.

I would think there could be someway for the devs of sourcemod to override it though and use the pop-up text menu even in these games, though. If so, that would be awesome.

In the gamemod HL2DM it's the same, always only ESC Menus.
I guess it's because the HUD Menu isn't supported or is missing in
this gamemodes. I hope somehow in the future this HUD message
will work here, too.

Indeed, people don't recognize it they've to press ESC to vote.

I thought that. So we can only hope when HL2DM is updating to the new sourceengine
that it's supported then.

There is no other way?

well you see ... my first screenshot was made on some synergy server. And i can assure you it has SM for RTV because when you RTV it says something like:
[SM] roumor wants to change map (or something like that)

i can even say i have never seen ESC menu on any of Synergy's servers exept the one im trying to brin up.

look in sourcemod/gamedata/core.games.txt

Under the 'ShowMenu' section there is a list of 'supported' games. Try adding synergy to this list (using the game folder name).
