hello everybody..
lately i see servers bad use of Client Autoexec Plugin
If you connect to the server is change the fps from 99 to 4
(fps_max 4)
is change the binds like mouse1 + mouse2 to "kill"
and a lot more bad commands!
the problem is the server change name all the time
why someone do this?
well, i have open 10 cs server very successful
so the old server admins start to zealing me
i try to tallk with them but is not helping, they told me they want to destroy the community
i want to ban\block connection to this specific bad server!
so i need you help
how to do this?

store ip, add it to your hosts file maybe make it redirect you to loopback that way you will never be able to connect there ever again..

Or you could just store a backup of your config file, or maybe just make it read-only, that way no server can change your settings.

They still can. It's easier to have another config file overrule your config.cfg.

I did not know that they could overwrite a read-only file, thank you.

I also did say that you could have a backup config file which can be executed on such situations.

Oh, I thought you were talking about a backup that can be restored in case of a messed up config instead of something like 'exec customconfig.cfg'.

I might have been unclear on that matter, sorry.

With a write-protected config.cfg file, changes cannot be made to it (in the traditional sense). I believe if the file is write protected, changes that are made would be temporary. I know that my file is write protected, and if I should go into console and make for example a bind change, that change will remain as long as I continue to play. But, should I exit from the game and then later return, my original version is still intact. So my guess would be that if a similar method is employed then they too would be temporary (when using a write protected file).

reason:
1) my player not smart to do this
2) is change the orginal server.cfg to something else by servercfgfile commands and then bad bind
i cant change the hosts by the game :-( i also can't run a cmd windows commands (if i do can just tell me in private how and i writer script to add the ip by bat files)

Unfortunately that's not always true.
