1) remove the image file from your sources, you most likely find it in cstrike/resource or in a subfolder there.
2) stop visiting the server advertised in the image. they placed it there to advert for their crap server.

Would Steam Library --> Right Click on Counter-Strike --> Properties --> Local Files --> Verify integrity of game cache

remove all of your custom files such as custom sounds, models, sprites etc?

I myself got slowhacked by that fucking =UFB= shit community.

lock your game content.
start > run > delete all folders named VALVE
or delete your username/gamefolder (username/counter-strike for counter-strike). Before doing that copy your third party files sounds, models, maps except gfx and resource folder, and re launch the game. Should work.

and if you want to do this without any deletion, do this.
open up half-life.gcf with gcfescape or gcfexplorer and find resource files copy .res files and extract put into your username/counter-strike/resource folder and make them read-only.

Seems to me the problem WAS is in the registry files.
Have you deleted VALVE information from regedit?

start > run type "regedit" without quotes find keywords valve and remove all of those it'll be recreated once you log into your account and launch your game again.

It's not server slow hacking...

There is an option in ufbcom to disable the ufb banner...

UFBCOM=>Settings=>General and Uncheck "set UFBTEAM as content provider at startup". (if not broken, it switchs back to the previous banner, if broken it will be overwritten at the next steam update)

Don't do what the previous posts say (except if you like loosing time).....

if you want to immediatly remove the banner:
Regedit => then empty the following keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER=>Software=>Valve=>Steam=>La stCSBannerURL and LastContentProviderURL.

Please, please, please, if you find problem like this, report it on our website... and read the user agreement and don't blind check everything during the installation process of ufbcom...

Yes indeed, it is worse than this, because regular most users know how they "receive" those banners.
I've downloaded ufbcom_installer.exe and read the agreement: nothing about placing a banner there and nothing in the list of installing components.
