[L4D2] Continue Healing

    Basically, I always wondered why when you were 90% healed and then had to stop for some reason, that when you next tried to heal you were at 0% again... I mean does the player take all the bandages and plasters off and put them away and use them again?

    So this pluggin makes it so if your healing is interrupted it contains from the last point. This works for healing yourself and healing others.

    One think to note though is that I have made it so after l4d2_HealCont_DecreaseRate amount of time passes, the pecentage of healing complete decreases by l4d2_HealCont_DecreaseAmount amount. (default l4d2_HealCont_DecreaseRate is 5 seconds, default l4d2_HealCont_DecreaseAmount is 0.5, NOTE: 0.5 is equal to 10%). so if the healing was at 90% complete and was stopped, if the player continued healing 20 seconds later, it would continue from 50%.

    l4d2_HealCont_DecreaseRate and l4d2_HealCont_DecreaseAmount can be changed in the cfg along with the amount of health a first_aid_kit increases the players health by (default is 60).

    If you don't want the percentage complete to decrease set l4d2_HealCont_DecreaseAmount to 0.0.

    I havn't done to much testing, but it seems to work fine. If anyone spots any bugs give us a shout

    I was thinking about that, but if you drop someone when there half way up, they dont stop there, they fall back to the ground, so I decided against it.

    interesting idea..

    what happens when you start healing yourself, stop, then start healing someone else. does it continue or start from scratch?

    then what happens when you stop healing someone else, and start healing yourself again?

    The amount healed is based on the person that is being healed, so if you heal your self half way, then heal someone else, it will start from scratch for them, but you can the stop on them and countinue healing your self from 50%, and so on.

    Just noticed a big bug, if you go black and white then heal, you end up balck and white with that amount of health. I'll fix it asap

    Couldn't you exploit this by partially healing when at full health, then finish off the last bit when injured?

    The amount you have healed decreases X amount every X seconds ( X's are set in the cfg file ) So If you healed your self half way, 30 seconds later the percentage healed would be back to 0% so yes and no, depending on the amount of time between healing.

    thats interesting.. and true about exploiting.

    heal 75%, then every so often touch it up so as to not lose the progress.

    perhaps u could add a check to prevent this.. like require a min amount of healing for it to be "saved".

    also, you dont have any version info anywhere - would be nice to see that for quick checking on updates.
