I was searching around for a sentry gun plugin that's been compiled but I could not find one. May I request this?

There is this [I AM] TF2 server which has an admin that had a sentry gun option (working), but when I visited his server (66.235.162.22:27015) and e-mailed him through his clan website http://iam-clan.com , he just beat around the bush. "Maybe I'll give it to you." The reason I've brought this up is that 1, I want the plugin (lol), and 2, is that not against the SourceMod License to withhold his plugin from the community?

Not at all. If he releases the plugin without the source, then it's an issue. Withholding the plugin altogether (releasing neither the plugin nor the source) is completely legal.

lol @ us having to release our code that we write. Half the people that do coding wouldn't touch sourcemod with a 10 foot pole if we had to give it to every yuppie that had the IQ to manage a server with SM running. Like bl4nk said, the only reason anyone is required by the agreement to show their code, is if they first make public the .smx file.

The people who do post code snippets, plugins, etc. do so to keep the community growing. Don't mistake that for your right to have everything you want.

With as many requests as there are, your chances are slim. If you really want it badly, read up on coding in the wiki, and theres a thread with pretty much all the code you need in the scripting forum on how to spawn a Sentry gun.

Sorry CrimsonGT, I did feel that I was posting with a little selfishness, but ThatGuy was being kind of...annoying. I did not mean in any way to post in such manner and I am very grateful for the coders in our community for their contributions and hard work. In fact, I was planning on donating the 5 dollars to sourcemod for that reason, but I've been overrun for this month in server bills.
