Hi, I'm trying to add myself as admin via simple_admins.ini But when I enter my steam id and use sm_admin, in chat or console I get [SM] You do not have access to this command, But when I enter my ip into there it seems to work fine, but I have admins who use multiple PC's and I'd prefer to not add loads of ip's especially since this would not work for VIP Users who need access to flags for VIP Plugin, thanks for any help

Thanks for all the responses, I have added the admins the way you said, here is the lines for my admins:
"STEAM_0:1:34857947" "6:z" //Me, doesn't work
"!80.85.115.116" "10:z" //Another Admin, does work (didn't with his ID)
"!86.151.2.135" "100:o" // A VIP Works

You give yourself lowest immunity, and VIPs the highest?

Just so you know, admins cannot target other admins with higher immunity than them. In the code above, you will not be able to target the admin with immunity 10, or VIPs, but they could target you.

you sure you haven't modified other files?
I never had any issues with this and I used that file for many servers, always with steamids.. pls attach it in case there's some formatting issues like word wrap or illegal chars
also, if you use sm_who on you, what does it say?

Yeah I know, that's me under VIP as well, I was testing a premium plugin, and I do know about immunities

I'm pretty sure I've not messed around with anything else, I haven't used sm_who, I'll try it, also I have set up admins on my L4D2 server (this is TF2) fine, so I will try replacing the TF2 one with a copy of the L4D2 one

Perhaps that's the problem if you can't get access, don't put yourself there twice.

Instead of using simple_admins.ini, try using admins.cfg. You can use KVManager to setup admins easy
