Consider switching to SM 1.5+'s StoreTo/LoadFromAddress. To figure out the platform(and the necessary patch byte), you can hook the server_spawn event and read it from there, or just add the corresponding section into the gamedata as well.

Would do it myself but I don't play TF2 at all and never did, not to mention running servers for it. Just noticed this thread and thought I'd leave a small suggestion here. The competitive L4D2 philosophy is, "don't bother with extensions where SM can do the job". Why not follow the same one for TF2?

This extension was written before those natives existed. Instead of server_spawn you can grab the correct path from gamedata. Just haven't had time to move it.
