amx_ban <time in mins> <steamID | nickname> <reason>

is it possible to ban a player who not are connected to the server...`??

I wanna ban player X with steamid STEAM_0:0:12345 reason Cheater

i type amx_ban 0 (permanent) STEAM_0:0:12345 Cheater

then the console tells me that Client with that name or steamid is not connected....

what can i do?

the ban command:
amx_ban <name or #userid> <minutes> [reason]

the command you used isnt correct ;-)

Edit:
AFAIK: You can only ban player, when you use the GUI-Version of HLDS.
There you can type the IP Adress or the STeam ID

amx_ban <time_in_minutes> <nickname|steamid> <reason>

Kicks and bans specified nickname/steamid 
When using nickname to ban, the user needs to be on the server. 
When steamid is used, the player does not need to be on the server. 
*cannot* contain spaces 
may be a unique substring of the actual nickname

thats work, but i cant see it on my amxbans homepage... only in my banned.cfg

Do you have the servers properly configured for AMXbans, and also do they appear in the Servers list?
