Yes.
You can edit the gangplank.cfg like you want, Its for you, but you can decompress the zip and restart the sv, gangplank will work whitout editing nothing.

I ask because I uploaded everything and connected to the server and expected to download the new content via fast redirects and I did not download any of the new files, as if they were not in play

I make another boss for Freak Fortress 2.
The sound files were made by Kwapple

Cuddly Heavy


"Im heavy weapons guy... and this.. IS MY LOVE!"
Be careful, he weill love you whit his bear hands!
Abilities:
Super Jump: alt-fire, look up and stand up.
Weigh-down: in midair, look down and crouch.
Rage: he kill you whit his love bow (taunt when the Rage Meter is full).
(model bugs whit the bow but its funny xD)

ENJOY HIS LOVE!

Next boss: Crazy Medic (laughs everytime and drop an "awesome face" at kill)

Shouldn't there be a config file in /addons/sourcemod/configs/freak_fortress_2 ? perhaps a gangplank.cfg and do we edit the characters.cfg

Guess I am a bit lost on how we add extra bosses
If you want to add new bosses, you will open the characters.cfg and:

Ej:
"Freak Fortress 2"
{
"1" "seeman"
"2" "seeldier"
"3" "demopan"
"4" "vagineer_hale"
"5" "brutal_sniper_hale"
"6" "ninjaspy"
}

You will change to this:
"Freak Fortress 2"
{
"1" "seeman"
"2" "seeldier"
"3" "demopan"
"4" "vagineer_hale"
"5" "brutal_sniper_hale"
"6" "ninjaspy"
"7" "gangplank"
"8" "cuddly"
"9" "nameofboss"
"10" "nameofboss"

If your boss is: gangplank.cfg you will add "number" "gangplank"
The name of the boss is the same of the .cfg

I tried adding cuddy and I get this in the error log

[freak_fortress_2.smx] Character cuddy is not exists

opps I see the error ..lol missing an l

@BBG: it's Cuddly, not Cuddy. Notice the L before the Y.

Also I must say, Torqus, I really like both of your bosses! I even like the Heavy impression with Cuddly, it's quite entertaining! Keep 'em coming. HOWEVER, do keep an eye on the slashes (/ or \) in your config files and their structure.

But / or \ is the same in the cfg (i think), I see vagineer or CBS:
..../..../..../
.../..../...../
...\.....\....\
...../...../..../
And they work.
And thx, I will make the crazy medic xD, and Im making the Soldier Robot, but I need the model of the soldier whit the robot hat. Well, I want to make Louis from L4D whit pills in his hand and big head.

Why do bosses get their loadouts when round starts(they also get weapons)
