I am organizing a lan event and am in charge of the cs go servers.
We have some killer hardware on site, for both networking and the gameservers.
I now have some question about the server configuration that the web wasn't able to anwser.
The servers are running on 128 tick.
sv_minrate
"786432"
sv_maxrate "786432"
sv_minupdaterate
"128"
sv_maxupdaterate "128"
sv_mincmdrate
"128"
sv_maxcmdrate "128"
sv_lan
"1"
The
red settings are the ones I have questions about.
Is there any reason not to force the rate, update- and cmdrate in a lan setting?
In my experience CSGO handles this differently to how CSS handeled it.
If a user connects with wrong settings, he isn't kicked, but his settings are adjusted.
Is this right?
Is there any reason not to activate sv_lan?
sv_lan 1 Server is a lan server ( no heartbeat, no authentication, no non-class C addresses )
no heartbeat
Found it and dont need it ^^
no authentication ||I am not using GSLT's anyways so i guess thats ok
no non-class C addresses ||Only Local ip's, thats ok
Is there something I am missing here?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and a big THANKS to the AlliedModders community for their great work!
