The souls work, however the normal models are not removed.

Test it with the pyro and the pluto which replaces the head. You can see the soul underneath it. The scout shows slight clipping, but not much.

As an attempt to be useful besides saying "does work", could it be that Valve hid a secondary cvar for removing the models?

Valve's working on a fix for Halloween wearables that's supposed to be released later today.

Unless something got changed this is what I've found as they never do work thru the weekend.

Speaking of halloween restrictions, I don't understand the following logic - perhaps it's my lack of sleep today:
  • HHH Hat is a Halloween restriction (this is fine)
  • Merasmus Hat is not a Halloween restriction
  • Seal Hat (rewarded for Summer event prizes) is a Halloween Restriction.

Maybe I'm missing something...

Ah, I think the 'Seal' word (since it was from the word 'Sale' / Summer Sale) threw me off. Still the other bullet point though..

Yes because having it for the next 49 weeks for the next Halloween event isn't enough. </sarcasm>

Seriously though, it's one weekend. I seem to recall there was a recent update that broke things and Valve did fix it over the weekend (yes it's rare but it happens).
