To bad this doesn't work in tf2

. bl4nks method goes into the 3rd person, but it does not show your model, and it seems to show the camera sideways, and when you go back into firstperson it does not show your weapon as well.

Yup, that's what strontiumdog said would happen.

The camera shows sideways for me in DoD:S too though, in fact, it goes everywhere. I wish it'd just stay exactly behind the person like it does when you're spectating.

I'm running CS:S here...

Umm, the plugin seems to work, but when it goes into third person behind the player, it's centered correctly, but the player has no animations except for standing, crouching, turning, reloading, and jumping. Can someone help me?

That's not a plugin problem.

That might have something to do with the fact that you aren't running Steam.

Last time I messed with third person you couldn't even see the model. Since the client can't see those things in a normal game, Valve never implemented a bunch of the necessary code. There's not much you can do about it since it's just not there.

This is for a dedicated server running off my actual computer that I use for testing stuff. If I had no-steamed it, A: It would have 0 effect on this situation because that only deals with client authorization, B: I'd be a moron because it can only hold about 4 people without lagging itself to hell and it would get flooded with players.

Additionally, I help to run 6 game servers with Steam, so don't go making assumptions about what I'm hoping to do with this.

@L.Duke:
bl4nk and Banjo Boy seem to have had success with this so maybe there is a way or they know something.

Four years since someone last spoke on the thread. Anyway, it's on the to-do list in this plugin.
