Autobuy/rebuy restrictions and server slot loss

Hey guys,
i just installed amx x the other day and all of a sudden i noticed that autobuy and rebuy were restricted and i lost 2 slots on my server. this happened just after i installed amxx so, i figure that its a problem w/ this mod. i only have amxx and statsme running on the server riGht now adn if you'D like to see for yourself here's the ip 66.208.103.148:27015. usually, its a 16 person server, when someone goes into it just after its been restarted, it drops down to a 14slot one. any one kno why this is happening? thx

autobuy is restricted due to the restrictions plugin, autobuy (use to) go around it, it is fixable by getting the updated version from the cvs, but it's not recommended, what is recommended is that you just remove the plugin.

The "missing slots" aren't actually missing, just hidden, it's a CVAR (which I'm not sure what it is) that shows your server's slots but not at their max, it shows OPEN slots (not reserved) someone else can answer the question better, but you still have say if you have 18 and 2 reserved slots, you still have 18, but it'll show 16...I think...

this is not a problem, AMXX is reserving 2 slots for admins
with level "b" (ADMIN_RESERVATION).
it keeps those 2 slots open and hides them.

you only have 14 public players on our server + 2 admins = 16players

the standard AMXX reservation system sucks (no offence to the developers!!!!!)
so i would suggest you use another plugin for the reserved slots and dump
the standard one.

i'd suggest "Admin Slots f117bomb Style

in your amxx.cfg change that:

now your server will show 15 players, with that plugin
you can have 15 public players and one slot stays free for
admins that want to join. another player will be kicked, so the next admin
can slide in with the 16th slot.

there is unfortunately no other way than keeping one slot free,
if you want your admins to be able to enter the game anytime
they like.

bye the way, you can make the 16th slot visible with that plugin

in the source file (.sma file) before compiling and you
server will show 15/16 when full.
but actually there is no real sense in that, as ppl would continue to try to connect.

There is a way
You have to get some slot system, but it basically kicks someone when an admin connects.. no extra slot revealed..
But they have to use "connect yourserver" in console to connect

After upgrading from amxmodx 1.70 to 1.71 i lost one of my slots

I checked cvars amx_reservation and amx_hideslots and both of them were set to 0 :/ and still one of my servers slots was missing :/ I installed version 1.70 again and it is fine now. Can somebody tell me how to upgrade to version 1.71 without slot loss??? Thank you!

asdf, you can disable the adminslots plugin in plugins.ini if you don't use it, or you can try the adminslots faluco posted here:
