Can anyone confirm if the multiple trails issue is happening on other games (not TF2)?

Here is how to replicate the problem: During the pre-round phase, quick switch classes as fast as possible. If you id it fast enough, you will end up with double, triple, or even more trails overlapping each other resulting in 1 very bright trail with doesn't really fade out correctly. From there, you can equip other trails and you will see multiple trails on your player.

Do you have fast download?

Do you redownload the models every time you join the server?

If they see the download bar for the trails everytime, you should check if the trails are really on the fastdl.

Do you have this problem everytime (also after a restart of your CS:S) ?

For CS:S, you typically have to restart your client after downloading the trails for the material to appear correctly; it started after one of HPE's updates months back.
