no, the player connects normally but gets a dialog at the top of the screen offering the redirection.

Quick question:

If I set sm_hreserved_slots_amount to "" (i.e. nothing), then will there be an unlimited amount of slots available? As in, if the server is 32/32, and 5 players with the reserve slot flag try to join, will 5 players be removed?

no, it will not work this way. this is the amount of slots that will always be kept free. setting it to 4 will block 4 slots of your server allowing 4 admins to join SIMULTANEOUSLY. most likely you want to set sm_hreserved_slots_amount to 1 - maybe 2.

Ah, okay. Would it be possible to request such a feature, then? Allow the reserved slots to be used by public, but if a player with reserved slot access attempts to join (through 'connect ip:port'), then a player is booted for him?

Ehm, yes. That's exactly what this plugin does. But you need to keep at leat one slot open for the admin to connect until his reserved-flag is checked (most likely a hidden slot that can only be accessed by the connect-function from the console). That's why you need "sm_hreserved_slots_amount 1". If the admin is authenticated by sourcemod, one player is kicked and the connection slot is free again for the next admin to join.

Okay; I misunderstood, that's all. I'm testing this out on one of my servers now. Using LDuke's MaxPlayers+1 hack and hiding the extra slot
