The solution to this problem is:
Stop playing CS and play minesweeper instead.

Yep. Since 20/4 update steamless project (cs1.5) stats rise up by 10.000 people...

That is the only -real- solution, but it's not going to happen. because in order to actually fix that, requires rebuilding every single map in existence, changing the engine, and rebuilding all player models.

Actually, the only reason why that CSS vs CS1.6 has so much different movement, is because the players bounding boxes were fixed.
ie: in goldsrc, -18 -18 -36, 18 18 36 but in source, -18 -18 0, 18 18 72. the end result? the player doesn't have to be teleported when ducking/unducking, so it's /smooth/ and the origin doesn't change. Cept, can't fix that in 2009. That coulda been fixed in 1998 though.
It proves that they don't know anything about hl1 engine. Already made 3 attempts to contact them with codes what will use way less CPU and will be much more useful with lowest damage to gameplay. And doubleduck stuck bug fix.

What I got in response... I really am trying not to swear here, so best way to understand their response is go in cs/hl, type in console:
Code:
speak "ambience/cricket"
and wait for sound to end.

Minesweeper is such a game of epic proportions that it supports the AMX Mod X and the SourceMod engines, together. Minesweeper officials have came to a conclusion that they cannot hold two seperate engines, though. So, they combined both source codes, without editing anything and created a new engine called AMXSourceModX.

Let's just hope Steam doesn't take over Minesweeper and fuck it up like they did WON.

If it depends on your fps then just set ur fps_max to 32 or like 55. 32 = movie speed, 55 = how fast ur eyes see (any higher and well there is no point cause u wun see it).

lol @ amxsourcemodx

And the human eye sees at waaaaaay more than 55 fps
If uve ever played at fps_max 55, you would realise that statement is completely wrong. We see at like 300+
Not sure what that haas has to do with this thread, but w/e

Not strictly true.

It's a hotly debated subject ... I found a very interesting article about it ages back.

Essentially, we really don't see anything more than ~50 FPS, but you *can* see something that only appears for 1/300 seconds.

They tried it with soldiers back in the war - they found that the silhouette of an enemy aircraft shown for 1/300 seconds could still be correctly identified.
