if you download the latest flash player from adobe, which btw closed a security hole, then you (client) will always crash in TF2 servers that are using pinion.

it could be the flash player that pinion is using that would need to be updated.

I've tested it on any of my servers + other communities = same result, client crash (hl.exe not working anymore).
My members reported the same to me.

at least it crashed always for me when the loading icon appeard.

I can't find the official adobe news for it but it should be all around the web already.

Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player.
These updates address vulnerabilities that could cause a crash and
potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
edit: I'm running Win7 64bit, Adobe flash version: 11,5,502,149
official news: https://www.adobe.com/support/securi...apsb13-04.html
flash version can be checked here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
or for firefox here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

can anyone else confirm this ?
update flash -> connect to server with pinion -> see what will happen ...

I can confirm this, i have it myself actually. Quickly clicking on continue before it even loads will work though. But as soon as the add is fully loaded it crashes. Get the "hl2.exe has stopped working" message. I've also gotten people in our commnity complaining about this too.

What I have found out untill now the crashes happens when :

Adobe Flash Version 11,5,502,149 (someone with flash11.3 upgraded and instantly got the problems)
AND when there is NO advertisement to load.

I live in the NL and it crashes for me because Pinion does not always have advertisements.
We have players in the UK that always see advertisements and they DONT crash not even if they have the 11.5 flash version.

I've noticed that skial doesn't seem to crash (Eventough I don't get an advertisement, just the Pot o' Gold)

Does skial have a fix? If yes, why don't we?
