Hello everyone,

I'd like to ask if there is any existing method to display .mdl files in the browser.
I was unable to find something related to that, so I thought maybe someone else here knows something about that.

.mdl files show just fine in the file browser. Are you asking for a preview in the file browser?

Webbrowser. Not Windows Explorer

Ahh . . . lol. The simplest (but not most convenient to set up) method is to make a screenshot image of each model and show that. Of course, this assumes that you are trying to incorporate these files into your own website. Though, it sounds like this is probably not the case.

You could take a look at Half-Life Model Viewer's source code and try to convert it to Java applet.

Check out http://tf2inv.info click on an item with a 3d cube in the bottom left.

Is that what u want?
