Yea the index.php is really meant to be iframed by the end user. (See the pic in the first post) I made a custom version for my site that overlays on click. you can see it at kablowsion.com I had to disable the avatar images because they aren't send via https from valve and was causing my site to be 'insecure' in most browsers.

wait did you actually put "@daily wget http://mydomain.com/scripts/remove_expired.php" in your crontab? or did you replace mydomain.com with your domain.

Then unless ur server doesnt have wget or your host doesnt allow u to use wget I dont know how that doesnt work. Try using the full path to wget for example /usr/bin/wget

What i mean is, so those you has purchased VIP for 1 month and there is 5 days left.

Then the paypal email will get a email every day until it expires.

And also so they can extend there vip days before it expires.
