Does anyone know if the current sourcemod will work with l4d2?

I would assume that it will, plugins that are L4D specific may not work but if you stick to the core then I think it will work.

The team would need to get their hands on the engine before anything can really be said about if it will work or not.

I have no doubt that the most current version of SM will not work out-of-the-box with L4D2. SM devs would need to at least get the gamedata offsets.

I dont think everything uses the gamedata files, only L4D specific things will. Since L4D is out already then the core may work.

We can't make any definitive statements until the server files have been released and we've had a chance to examine them.

We will of course be working on adding support as soon as we can.

metamod don't work, but maybe custom campaigns will work

YES! how do you add custom maps to l4d2?

They don't work. You install them the same was as l4d (put in addons folder), but if you try to load the map, it says it's invalid.
