I got everything set up correctly and things were working fine, until I tried logging in to the webpanel.

Error message:
Fatal error: Call to a member function num_rows() on a non-object in /home1/dukey043/public_html/webpanel/application/models/ion_auth_model.php on line 879

that is with $db['default']['db_debug'] = FALSE;

if I have it set to true, I get this when trying to even access the webpanel:
Unable to connect to your database server using the provided settings.

Filename: core/Loader.php

Line Number: 346

I have checked over all my database information multiple times and can not find the error. Help would be very much appreciated

i would say you should disable login of the control panel and use .htaccess thats better no errors and shit

As seupoj said, its better to use the .htaccess (and .htpasswd) cause the login system is only implemented for the people who are unable to setup a .htaccess and .htpasswd

I am noob to databases... How would one setup a .htaccess and .htpasswd?
