Hello guys, i have a problem with this plugin. On my server it's works, but on webpage doesn't work. I don't know why...

I can't list all the players in my webpage... what is wrong?

I guess you are using non steam and this plugin is not made for non steam and will never be change to work with it eiter.

Yes is true. I use a server steam/no-steam with dproto, but
I'm not interested the no-steam players. I am interested the steam players, and on web i want to list the steam players, but with their nicknames not with their steamID

Can you help me?

With steam servers this plugin works like it should, it can be improved and i will probably do that sometime but for non steam or mixed servers it wont work well and if the only thing you want to do is to list players from the database then you need to make your own script for that.

I have tried several times to get this plugin working with no luck. Any help would be appreciated very much.
I'm running Linux.


WHAT I HAVE DONE TO GET IT WORKING.

I installed the plugin and confirmed that it is running.
When I was in game I used the "pi_menu" command and the example website yourhost(dot)com came up in the motd, So this plugin is installed correctly.

I have uploaded the playerinfo folder to the root directory on my web host and I made sure that the connect information was the same in both the playerinfo.cfg and config file on my web host.

It will not connect to the Mysql database on my web server.

I know the problem has to do with the playerinfo.cfg because the plugin runs fine when the playerinfo.cfg file is not on the game server, But when I upload that file to the amxmodx/configs directory on the server, It crashes the server. Remove it, and the server comes back up.


So I looked into my amx logs and I see the following

The problem is, I'm not telling it to connect on "127.0.0.1" I have it configured to connect to my dedicated IP address on my web server. I have also tried using my dedicated DNS, with no luck.

Using control panel under the "remote mysql connections tab", I have white listed my game servers IP address so it can connect to the mysql DB on my web host.


I know the problem has to be with it not being able to connect to my Mysql DB, But everything is configured properly and it just wont work for some strange reason.

BY THE WAY gizzmo, YOU SAY TO "Extract the zipfile and copy the addons folder to your addons folder"

There is no addons folder included in your zip file, that's just the web files.

Without the playerinfo.cfg the plugin will use the settings in the plugin and that is user root with no password and ip 127.0.0.1.

Do you have your own web and mysql server or are you buying that service somewere?

Make sure that you are using the ip for the mysql database in playerinfo.cfg, use ip since im pretty sure that dns wont work in plugins.

The usual output that everyone giving support to their plugins want would be helpful also if you want support.

You dont have the plugin active in that output, not even the mysql module is active, could you post the output with the playerinfo plugin active?

Have you tried any other plugin that use mysql?

Your plugin is the only one that needs the Mysql module thats why its not active.

My server just segfaults and wont start as long as the playerinfo.cfg is on the server. Once I remove it, the server starts up and the plugin is running.

I'll try to troubleshoot it somemore tomorrow but its late now and I just got done setting up 30 DoD servers. Thanks Gizzmo.
