I have had a Bug Report up for a few weeks now and I have still gotten no response. The fixes we have tried still don't work. This issue hasn't even been responded to by a dev or anyone on the AMXX team.

Ban is just not working you can find all the info here:

I believe Bail is doing all bug reports tonight, so you should get a response soon.

I also believe that Vet made a fix that I actually use in the source files for amxmodx. A few lines changes to actually confirm the ban. I can look it up if you dont have a response.

I can't ban anyone... except from HLSW. amx_ban does w/ writeid does not write to file in game. This is the biggest defect I have ever seen. I will prob switch to amx_bans, but that is a pain. Don't get me wrong amxmodx is the best.

Thanks for the reply Bmann.

Vet's fix worked temporarily but a new problem has come about. We can ban people but one of two things is happening. These are just my hypothesis'. We ban someone and then they are unbanned automatically anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours later. Either that or everytime we ban someone new it is overwriting the previous banned.cfg and adding in the new guy and leaving off the most recent.

I am starting to think it is the latter of the two problems.

If you would have read the other posts you would have realized that we tried that. It didn't fix it completely. It fixed it in one way but broke it another way or failed to resolve it.
