Can I get a simple plugin that desable the player ability to change their names ingame as they abuse the Admins when they get muted in this way.

I think this will be very usefull for large servers so u don't have to ban them,and the chat filter will take care when they connect.

What about changing mute/gag/silence/voteban/any other command, from being name based to steam ID? I'm surprised at how few servers actually do that. Unless it isn't possible for some weird reason?

For example, I was on a server and there were 2 hackers (everyone knew they were hacking) but we could not voteban them because once it became like 6/8 votes they either rejoined or changed their name. (Thus, having us to restart) We did, however, get rid of them.. They were on red, and we were on Blue.. we had everyone do voteban at the same time, it got them. : D

players with admin rights can still change their names,
public players can't.

Let me know if it works as desired!

P.S.:
This will need SourceMod 1.1 Snapshots being installed on your Server to work!

It won't compile here as it will need SourceMod 1.1, like stated in my above post!

Download the source and compile it on your own with SM 1.1!

Name change denied (rate exceeded).

that is NOT added by my plugin, so you're running a plugin that denies namechanges within a declared frquency.

You will have to get rid of that, otherwise the name will not be changed back to what it was before!
