Hopefully this is in the right place.

Anyway, a while back valve locked fps_max to where it cannot be changed while in-game anymore, and while this doesn't generally cause problems while playing, it causes tons of problems when trying to use source recorder.

Basically if you want to record in AVI mode with source recorder, you have to set the host_framerate to 30 and the fps_max to 24 or 30 so that the AVI is not excessively bloated or doesn't go way out of sync or ant racing from recording at 140 fps.

I was wanting to know if it is possible to remove the "notconnected" requirement from fps_max so that it can be used while in game, and if so, could somebody make a simple Metamod plugin to do it? I don't really have any experience with either the engine or C++ so I'm totally at a loss.
