Got sv_region 3 already but seems not to be working. I opened the server, let it be for like 3 hours and still didnt show up. :S

If your server is down often (8 hours a day or more), it will constantly be removed from the list and it takes some time to update.

Also, I dont know if this goes for everybody here. I have hosted a server off another computer at my house which was a stand alone hlds with serverdoc for over 4 years in many locations. I could not see the server in the list if it was on my network (search for it) the only way to add it to the list was by adding the ip manually, and I would not be able to connect to that one also, obviously since that ip is outside my router, so I would have to connect to the lan ip. Im sure you all know this, its common sense.

The point im trying to get across, is I would have to have one of my clan members tell me if he can find it on the server list. I would every now and then, but never when I needed to. I would just check gametiger or game-monitor, if it came up their, then its all to the good..

humm... have you forwarded ports? can other players join it? if they can you haven't told steam what ip it's listening on.

go to server.cfg and at the first row write IP xxx.xxx.xx.x and then port (your port to the server)

like this:

if you dont know what your internet ip is go to www.whatsmyip.org
if you can find it in the steam browser by searching for servers you cant join it. because your internet will crash then. you must join with the computers static ip. but all of your friends must join with the internet ip and they cant join with your computers statis ip because it just says server not responding for them.

What? I have never heard of that, and No, you dont need to do that to get the server running at all. I think you mean; if other players can join, and you look in the console and it shows the master servers have been added, and you cant join, to make sure your connecting to your internal ip.
