I can see why you think this is hard. I have it running on a TF2 server just fine with the updated plugins.

Download the quake sounds1.8.zip (Post #1)

Unzip that to your desktop in it's own folder and then...

Download the Plugin and HLDM2 files (Post #279)

Place quakesounds.smx here \addons\sourcemod\plugins Place plugin.quakesounds.txt here \addons\sourcemod\translations
Place quakesoundslist.cfg here \addons\sourcemod\configs

Configure the sm_quakesounds.cfg file in \cfg\sourcemod to the settings you want. (Post #75)

Configure the quakesoundslist.cfg file to the settings you want. (Post #2)

Now you have to upload all the files to your game server, making sure to put them in the right place. If you unzipped the first part right you should see the dir structure.

Depending on your game servers hosting company you may or may not have access to the pure_server_whitelist.cfg file. (Post #123, #255, #256, #262, to many to count!) Make sure you check those posts and update the right file in the right place.

That should do it. I would also suggest copying your sounds to a offsite location and compressing them using .bz2 to make the downloads faster and not lag the server. That would require to you modify the sv_downloadurl cvar in your server.cfg file.

I need some help with tf2 too I followed the instructions and put everything in the right place. In game it shows the menu but none of the sm commands work and sounds dont work either. any ideas?

If the menu system works, but you don't hear sounds, I would bet that you have not modified your pure_server_whitelist.txt file correctly. Look in your console and see if you get an error message when the sound should play, like when you join. If you see the error message, it's the whitelist file.

If you want to see what cvars are available to you type: sm cvars <pluginnumber> You should not have to do this if you configure the .cfg file properly.

Use Sv_pure 1 and a white list(you can find it in my ful serverconfig if you want it::FACE:: config)

I have someone who plays on my server that gets the sound stutter crash on the join server sound when he enters my server.

Any ideas?

Hi, i want to add a quake sound for every kills made, is it possible to add 30 killssounds?

Would editing the files be enough, or would the plugin need tweeking too?

Getting a segmentation fault when running this mod along with ES_TOOLS 0.420. Occurs on first quake_sound trigger.

Actually, this probably has more to do with es_tools than quake sounds.

Rolling back to EST 4.18d seemed to fix the problem.

So, disregard.
