I know this plugin has been made but it is not being updated. I tried it on my server and it flickers wildly and doesn't function properly.

Is it possible to make night vision a blue colored instead of green possibly? Or an entire different array of colors to select from?

I'm pretty sure you can edit the RGB in that plugin. Look for the write_bytes() and change the values. I'd do it if I could find the plugin...

The flickering is due to lag. Custom night vision causes more lag for the client/server so it flickers a lot when one or the other starts to lag.

Here is the plugin I have been trying.

http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthr...t=night+vision

And the flickering has absolutely nothing to do with lag.

Heres how you can find out if it has to do with lag.

1) Check your FPS when custom nvg is on. (net_graph)

and then

2) Try running the plugin by a LAN server. (Not using HLDS). If it doesn't flicker then it has something to do with lag.

Oh and if your FPS is low, there is no point in trying two.

My FPS in game is 99.9 - 100fps at all times even standing in multiple smokes.

And the flickering is there when I host the server from another PC on my home network.

To change the color:

Quote:
- custom_nvg_rgb - Set the color of Nightvision, in RGB format
Default : "255 0 255"

hmm nope that has no effect on the flickering I'm talking about.

The decay cmd does change how the light or whatever shows up, however the flickering I'm refering to is basically huge black box's that pop on the screen for a millisecond and move from top to bottom. Like a 3rd of the screen will go black for a split second then it will move and black out a different spot and again to another spot and starts over. It does this in a pattern very very fast.

If anything, that sounds more like a refresh rate issue, if you are getting black boxes
