HEWO!!!

i used to play WON, but now won has been shut down and im stuck wid steam and have no clue on how to get admin on my server.

-everytime i launch my server, i type status, and i get STEAM_ID_PENDING for my steam id.... so i figure my id will show up sooner or l8r, so like 1 month later i wonder when am i gunna get my steam id!!!!! so den one day i go to oder peep server and my steam id shows up, so i add dat to my admin according to da instructions, and, i get no access.... and after searching around io learn dat i only get my id on other peeps servers... so i search and search and try 3 things:
"STEAM_ID_PENDING" "" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstu" "ce"
"192.168.0.4" "" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstu" "de"
"loopback" "" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstu" "de"

and i get!!! NOTHINH!!! NO ADMIN POWERS!!! i can do amx_kkick/ban but thats about it!!! =( i run a listening server, and play cs,ts,sc,ns,dc. i have a windows xp i run like da latest metamod, and i use older versions of amxmodx and amx, like 9.3 cuz it gives me admin, but other dan dat, no admin at all!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!! I BEG U PPL OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!! *head explodes* anywayz pls help me thanks bye

sounds like you're still using the won version of amxx.

download and setup the steam version, then it should work.

and there is a fix for listen servers somewhere around here.

use the search and try "fix listen". should be easy to find.

You will always get either STEAM_ID_PENDING or VALVE_ID_PENDING (which I once got ) when running a listen server. Now I have also had problems gettin admin access on listen servers. There could be many solutions:

1. Try for ip 127.0.0.1 (this is 'localhost')
2. Use your name, because its a listen server U will be there all the time so no-one can take away your name. Now I did this and it worked, the only thing was that I had to change me name, then back again to get it working, i.e.:

WDUK = No Admin
WDU = No Admin
WDUK = Admin

the easyst way to have amx working is to do this

Be Shure CS is closed or it won't work

here is the hardest part about doing this

open your config.cfg and at the bottom add the line

exec autoexec.cfg

now creat a text file and add

setinfo _pw "password"
bind = "amxmodmenu"

save and rename it to autoexec.cfg close it and start cs

this solves problems with routers there is some deal u would have to open a port to allow amx to work we had people constily have to reconnect to get amx to work now that we have switched to this system every one who had added that to there files and we put there steam id in they always have amx acess

Well, lol if your using listenserver, AKA play game...
Thats what happens alot to your steam id, so its simple, change your steamid on the users.ini to

STEAM_ID_PENDING

or if your using listenserver your ip would be loopback
