dont know if it helps, but i compiled the Custom_map_configs with the 0.20 compiler and the plugin works.
using the in-base map configs with 0.20 wouldnt work.

Yea honestly, don't release it and don't set release dates until enough testing has been done. It always drives me mad when I get buggy software, coz initially I always think I'm doing something wrong and sit there for ages trying to figure out what the heck I did wrong .

You shouldn't try it then, it's purpose is to help developers get ready for the big release.
