Gameinfo always changes. I tried all ways to prevent. I even tried the launcher. all it does it give me a 0.

I tried with / and \ still nothing. I even tried with a VDF to load cssdm and MM.

I have windows XP, Im running a listen server.

I don't know how to properly make the layout in the post without it messing up but you're supposed to add the GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin before every line. I included my gameinfo file just in case.

I found the same thing happened to me, that gameinfo.txt would get overwritten the second i tried to run CS:S. I did however find a fix to this which i'll post here:

Create a text file in your "counter-strike source" folder called sourcemm.bat and then right-click edit. put this in.

copy GameInfo.txt.mms GameInfo.txt
cd ..
hl2.exe -insecure -console -game cstrike
_____________________________________________ ___

Then in "cstrike" (under folder you were just in) copy "gameinfo.txt" and rename it "GameInfo.txt.mms"

This fixed it for me
