I first read this thread about the problem here.

But it seems not to be fully fixed.
Ie. If you set the language to en with the menu in game.
And then later on want to change it in your amxx.cfg

amx_language sv

This doesn't take effect at all on mapchange or server restart.
Instead the server read what language the server has in vault.ini where the server language is saved when using the amx_langmenu in game.

So the cvar amx_language is not really needed in amxx.cfg
It is only used so others can see what language the server has.

Do you really have to save the language to vault if the cvar amx_language exist?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. amx_language is an external cvar exposed so server browsers can pick up the language. Setting it does not have any effect.

To set the language, you should use "amx_setlang." As you said, it uses the vault to store this property. Why, I don't know, it was a design decision made a long time ago and not by me.

Hmm no Im not sure either now as I must have placed that cvar (amx_language) in amxx.cfg a long time ago.
That is why I posted this confusing bug report
I was sure it came from the official amxx.cfg, but have now checked and saw that I was wrong.
