I really liked the way spawn protection worked in .91 (500 life or something for x number of seconds after spawn). I run a non-random spawn server and it works great for that mode. It really kept the spawn raping down Can we get a option to use the old method of spawn protection? Thanks.

Hrm. Yes, I can add an option to enable the old style. I didn't consider that people would actually prefer that method, but in retrospect I can see that one is good for random spawning and the other is good for normal spawning.

Quick question and not that big a deal, but I have never seen a player change colors during protection time, windows or linux servers. Could that be a client issue?

Yeah, I've never seen anyone change colors during spawn protection, even after messing with the spawn protection color settings in the .cfg file. Just figured it was a bug or something.

I don't want to do the wrong thing here but I have the spawn rape problem in a big way. We play short range maps and the spawn rapers are a huge problem.
While waiting on the new release I decided to make a script that works like the .91 protection.

Hello again --

Thanks for the donation! I've made sure that this change got into the next release.

I also tested for the billionth time spawn protection colors - they do show, and they've always shown for me. It's not easy to see but it's there, you may want to try adding a bot and watching it spawn. If you run into more problems with it, please make a new report.
