1. Double posting is adding on to the thing you just posted.
2. Posting twice in a row, with intention.
3. Double posting is posting the exact message that you posted before. Common accident if the user is impatient.
4. posting the same thing twice without having a need to do it. Just to increase the post count.

Hope you learned your lesson and dont do it.

PS. I didnt make this, I went to some sites and took it from people's posts of what they think double posting is.

You should always just edit your post that you just made. It makes it not as messy, less crap in the DB, and just overall better.

if i post something now and come back 4 hours later and post something else without anyone having anything to post between the 4 hours it DOES NOT count as double posting.

It does and doesnt. That can be debated. That is also considered bumping in some ways and is very annoying when it happens to week old threads.
