when I hit dedicated server, then select internet, hit start new server it doesnt show up on my friends/brothers internet game search for cz??? but it does for me, and they put in the ip aswell as favorites but it still doesnt show up. They are using cz and idk what is giong wrong.

Do you have a router? did you forward the ports? look on steam forums, and also www.portforward.com

yea on my dads computer, but i dont wana mess around with it , hes gone for couple weeks hunting in the u.p

a router cant be on a computer.... but ok

i think he meant it is sitting on top of his dad's computer? o.O

just ping your router via your web browser. if it is linksys I am pretty sure it is 192.168.1.1

yes its 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2

im sorry its hooked up by my dads computer....im on lan you know, throguh wires!

where in the browser would i have to change it?

well try this go to www.ipchicken.com copy and paste that ip in your web browser and if it says username and password type Admin and password Admin if it works click the icon called advanced then u will see portforwarding click it then u see a list and there is a list called games. u click half life and move it to the box were it allows it to be forwarded and then save. then restart router and it might work?

l3lindshot: I really doubt that would work. Why would the router have its ACP available from its external IP, so hackers can have fun bashing random password in it?

try some of these.

http://192.168.1.1
http://192.168.0.1
http://192.168.2.1
http://192.168.1.254


one should ask you for a password or take you to a router control panel.
