Hi forum. I'm running a zombie server, but these days players in my server tells me that client may crash after they join the server when server runs after a long time. So I start to think about memory optimization.

My vision is, only add resources(playermodel, textures) to downloadtable, but not precache them. The precache stuff starts before the player equip the model. Now we reduced the memory usage of the unused textures and models.

Did anyone tried this? Absolutely models can be precached in the late precache process without error, but I'm wondering whether textures can be late precached.
