I'm trying to rig the sniper skeleton to a custom model I have but something keeps screwing up.
The eyes of the model are individual polygons colored to look like white pupils instead of using a large texture. (Image 1) When I export the smd then compile it to look at how it turned out in Source Hammer the polygons for the eyes become very squished together. (Image 2)
(Not sure if I did the image upload correct. So I'll try to explain what's wrong the best I can below.) I did it right, hooray!
I know if you move the bones around in the skeleton you'll mess up how the model will look once it's compiled, but I have not moved them at all. The eyes are connected to a floating skull that isn't connected to the rest of the model. The entire skull is only merged to 2 bones. The normal bip_head bone and the bip_spine_3 bone. Each bone is only weighed by .50 for the entire skull mesh. I'm positive the skull isn't accidentally weighed to any other bone too. The eye area is also the only place where the model seems to be distorted, the rest of the model is fine.
I've been stuck on how to fix the eyes all day. I've tried everything I can and it's only gotten worse in some aspects. It's a very minor thing, but my OCD is gonna kill me if I can't fix how it looks. If anyone is able to help me it's much appreciated.
