1) im curious what other servers do with respect to disablehtmlmotd .. on one hand i want everyone to have it enabled, on the other i dont want to push away new players/members.. i currently have it set to show a message.

2) also, how frequent is everyone running their ads? Im currently set to the default. in the past I ran it at around every 8 mins.. ive had it as high as every 3 mins. im curious where everyone else sets theirs

I would suggest on leaving to the default settings and removing the message if they have motd disabled. You want to build up your community first before putting more ads on. As your community grow more and more people will turn motd back on to support your community. Once you have a good size community with many regulars playing on your server you will see a big increase in your earnings. Communicate with your players is the key.
