Special characters not supported? "ä ö ü ß"

Hi all!

Since i don't know if its already mentioned, the new cs update FINALLY supports special characters in chat. So for example: The german Keyboard layout now works as it should be. When installing the new update on our Server, all characters inclusive the "ß ä ü ö" worked fine!

Then i installed amxmod and they do not work. The client can actually enter (And will actually USE ä ü ö even when it's not supported) these special characters and the whole chat is messed up with missing chars.

I know there may be are many other mayor problems and bugs around now but i cannot say to 32 people on my server to NOT use this, since it's really annoying and hard to read. Is it possible to add these Feature to amxmod? (Or is it meta-mot causing this problem?)

If you disable all the 3rd party plugins, does the issue go away?

How about if you disable HLGuard?

So if disabling Metamod did not solve the problem, then I guess it is not an AMXX issue

So leave HLGuard disabled and enable AMXX

So, im not a coder or something like this. But i understand, that it's possible to make special chars visible in chat. Find this intresting and i ask myself if it would be possible to write a plugin for this? Even when it's not a good soulution ,,, just an idea to fix these ^^

When you tested it did you disable HLGuard, enable AMX Mod X AND disable third party mods (in AMX Mod X)?

If you did and it still doesn't work then there may be issues with how AMX Mod X handles these characters. I'm not sure if it would be on the C++ (core) side or the plugin side so I would probably first try to convert all plugins to UTF-8 without BOM and then recompile them all and test again.

It's possible this won't help but that's just what I would try. Or, maybe Bailopan knows a solution (assuming SourceMod handles UTF-8 characters)
