With amxX ans the recompiled metamod included, I got 20/50 cpu usage and 80/100 fps GREAT!!!
Can somebody say the same or is this just an individual case? From what I read, I didn't thought there was anything big done to performace. Wouldn't the developers mentioned this at least in a big, bold, red headline. ;)
well i havent seen 0.9.8 source.. I havent changed any existing code to increase performance (yet); we first want it to run. The only thing I did was make some performance optimizations in new code...

We started off running AMXX on 10 servers for testing, and the amxx servers tend to run identical to the AMX servers. The only thing I've noticed is there is roughly 50% more crashing.... but seeing as how this is Alpha it's running extremely well. I expect the new versions of AMXX to run even more efficiently, just as 0.9.8/0.9.7J ran better for us than 0.9.3 .

If only we could get all of our customers to move over from AM : D .

scarecrow: did you run packaged 0.1 version or did you use updated stuff (like the amxmodx core)?

0.1

These are 10 rented servers.... so theres no real way of telling who was at fualt for the crashes, could have been bad maps. I just did a stats parse for all of the servers that night and went off the total crash number.

My point was though that I couldnt see any difference CPU wise with the new version, even with it being Alpha, so VGJ.

Closer to the final versions of AMX MOD X should most likely improve on cpu preformace compared to AMX MOD because the coding has been updated and improved and since AMX MOD is no longer being worked on AMX MOD X will improve this greatly in the future
