well something like console output before a crash, or a debug log might help...

Have you tried a virgin install, or one without mods? Is this recent after an update ?

recent yes after an update servers went to $#!*, servers run fine with metamod or virgin.. But when I have sourcemod running, they crash on map change.
Source Mod is not logging errors for some reason as well.

Ok, it was the clientprefs plugin on the l4d2 servers, checking css servers now.

Thousands of servers run clientprefs just fine, you either had it's database configuration misconfigured (a bug in the threaded database API can cause a connection attempt to hang forever on map change), or by removing it caused a plugin that required it to fail to load (which is what was actually causing your issues).

Hmm, on all my servers? It wasn't just one server, it was doing that on all six of them.

Are you using MySQL clientprefs? If so then the plugin cannot connect to the database, causing this issue (most likely).
I'd recommend using an SQLite database for clientprefs.
