You can't do anything yourself, you have to wait until Valve fixed it:

I wrote steam support. Nothing happened till now...

Is there a way to bypass the "Old Movie Effect" in DODS?

This is just a purple and black Chess Screen...

EDIT:
With "bypass" I mean to disable this for my clients. Or they can disable this by typing !purple or something into chat

Try using this to stop the console spam.

This is my Problem

This comes if you check "Show Film Grain Effect" (See "Screenshot")

Now my Question:
Can I disable this serverside for my guests? This is pretty annoying and I am tired of guiding my guests through how to disable this.

The Consolecommands to disable them are:

cl_enabledeatheffects "0"
cl_enabledeathfilmgrain "0"
cl_enablespectatoreffects "0"

By writing this I got an Idea ^^
Will post my solution if I have found it

EDIT:
After hours to achieve my Idea I have to admit, that I am tooo noobish at Sourcepawn. maybe someone with advanced knowledge can help?

I had the Idea of an Plugin, that simply changes
cl_enabledeatheffects "1"
cl_enabledeathfilmgrain "1"
cl_enablespectatoreffects "1"

to zero, if a client types !lila in chat. That would be very cool.

don't think you can change client cvars, or at least it's unethical but ive seen this plugin that does a popup that tells 'this will fix that issue, press f3 to accept'

oh i just remembered, on another forum someone said sv_pure 0 solves this it's funny how some look for client fixes, others for server fixes

and on forums.steampowered, some mentioned a fix related to anti-aliasing.. it's weird for me to read 3 sources for same thing

The fact, that clients can fix this after they changed three cvars or uncheck two boxes brought me to a Pluginidea, that changes the Cvars to zero after typing !lila or !pink into chat.

Many of my guests and clanmates are asking me how to fix this issue, so I came to the idea to help them via a plugin.

BTW: sv_pure 0 solves nothing

sv_pure:

If set to 1, the server will force all client files except the whitelisted ones (in pure_server_whitelist.txt) to match the server's files.

If set to 2, the server will force all client files to come from Steam (and it will not load pure_server_whitelist.txt).

Current sv_pure value is 0.

with sv_pure 0 you can replace the cables and stunstick with working models, will have to be added server side anyways.
