[L4D2] sv_steamgroup not working?
Server Address: 72.186.12.56:27015 [US] Left 6 Dead: Official Server
My server has been up for a while, no one can join it other than manually getting the IP from me. They do not see it online, they do not see it in steam groups. I already checked, the server is online and accessible via anyone. However, only through IP if they know it.

Need some serious help on how to get my server to show up on Steam Groups list in the main menu, everyone else can do it. I have about 120 Servers by being part of:

Left 4 Dead Official Group
Left 4 Dead 2 Official Group
Hosted By Left 6 Dead

I've been having this issue too since the latest update. Can't work out why. Anyone got any ideas?

We've got the same problem.
30 servers showing up in our steamgroup, none of them are ours :-(

So from where we are standing it sounds like a Steam Server bug?

try to add your server only in one steam group, work for me after update. Why u using client side cmd in server.cfg?

Use this for set max\min value cl_cmdrate, cl_interp etc for players

edit... also the brightness on the loading screen pictures are turned way up.

I have one steamgroup, its my own group, still the server wont' appear for me or anyone. So...explain that? I am using your settings. May I also mention that this is happening for l4d1 as well. I know its not my end cause i give them the IP and it works. But who would bother knowing my ip?

The newest update (a day or two ago) fixed this issue for me. Have you tried deleting (or copy a backup) of ClientRegistry.blob in your Steam directory on the server? I'm just suggesting this since it worked for me at one point... (about a month ago).

Could you clarify the exact steps of this procedure, I do not understand how the clientregistry.blob will help my server. Be reminded this is not a localhost server, not hosted on the same machine as the client (me), not on the same network either (50 miles away)

This is a Dedicated SRCDS Host Windows-Based VPN basically. I have full access, no steam.exe exists on this machine. It was downloaded via hlupdatetool.exe which get's the srcds server files ONLY, to avoid piracy. Left4dead.exe and left4dead2.exe are not included.

Thus we can strike that Steam Application has anything to do with it, however, I will do all of your suggestions to prove otherwise they won't work. If they do, good. If not, Valve has some serious knuckle down situation to do.
